Ottawa Rideau Canal

For the last two summers, I have documented people who have made their home along the Ottawa Rideau Canal pathway. Some have made temporary places to live like the man who set up his hammock in the trees near Pretoria Bridge. Others have just found a quiet, simple spot to call home under an overpass. I am always troubled to see people in need anywhere, but even more so along the canal, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This summer, in the midst of the pandemic, I haven't seen anyone living along the canal. I hope they have found better places to live.
